A Happy Discovery

Sarah had an important business presentation to make that day. When she opened her vanity, she discovered her deodorant was empty. She knew she would never make it through the meeting without sweating, so she pulled into the only place along the way, a gas station.

Now, buying deodorant at a gas station is always risky business, but she didn’t have a choice. She frantically scanned the aisles until she found a lone stick of deodorant on the shelf. It was called Happy Deodorant.

How weird, she thought. But beggars can’t be choosers. She bought the deodorant, and once inside her car, she put some on. It wasn’t unpleasant smelling. All seemed good.

During her presentation, Sarah was getting grilled pretty hard by the sales team. She walked over to the screen where her presentation chart was being displayed and reached up to a diagram at the top. When she did, Sarah caught a whiff of her deodorant and suddenly had an uncontrollable urge to smile. Sarah felt the stress leave, and she became happy. She didn’t know why at first, but then she remembered that the deodorant was called Happy Deodorant. The thought made her laugh.

Everyone gave Sarah a funny look. She didn’t care. She was happy. Her confidence grew, and the presentation was a huge success. Afterward, everyone complimented her…
