Terence Gridlock wasn’t like the other graffiti artists. He had a unique style that eventually became known as Gridlock in his honor. Terence was extremely good at what he did. The cops never caught him. In fact, most people were totally unaware of his work.

Until one night, a world-famous graffiti artist, Ragtag, visited Terence’s home town. Ragtag went out to do some art and caught Terence in the act. He was so impressed, he spread the word. Soon Terence became legendary among other graffiti artists.

It is estimated that Terence had tagged over 100 parking lots in his time. But his crowning achievement was a 12-story new-construction parking garage.

When lead painter Bruce Rossi arrived with his paint crew to paint the new garage, the lines and lettering on the entire parking lot were already done.

Rossi said, “You gotta be kidding’ me. Alright, boys, that’s a wrap. Early lunch today.”

Terence wandered up to Rossi nonchalantly and said, “That’s a pretty good paint job.”

“Best I ever seen. But we didn’t do it. It was done when we arrived. They must have hired another crew.”

“I did it.”
