Ah, memories. I used to work at Bill Knapps (a restaurant in the midwest), as a dishwasher, then a cook. They also brought in fresh food daily from central commisaries. At the end of the day, all the cakes and pies had to go. They wouldn't let us take them home, but they didn't mind if we ate them there. So we did!
Sadly, they are no longer around. Their food was good! And I learned to cook there.
