The Grand Story Of The Seemingly Impossible Adventures Of
Baron Britpop Blastfurnace
Introduction
I Invite You On The Adventure Of A Lifetime
I have finally finished my first novel!
The Grand Story Of The Seemingly Impossible Adventures Of Baron Britpop Blastfurnace
This novel has been a work in progress for several years. Mainly due to my advanced procrastination skills, plus getting sidetracked by a two-year Medium obsession.
But I recently felt inspired and finally finished it. Reaching my goal of finishing it before my 60th birthday (July 05.)
The Grand Story Of The Seemingly Impossible Adventures Of Baron Britpop Blastfurnace is an adventure tale set in the late 18th century. It is the story of a curious young blacksmith from The Austrian Netherlands named Britpop Blastfurnace.
In a moment of inspiration, Britpop invents silent horseshoes and suddenly finds himself a Baron with an estate and wealth. Before settling down as a Baron, he decides to go on an adventure to France with his valet, Andelbert.
The adventure ends up taking them across the ocean and back. It features several historical characters and events, pirates, intriguing locations, friendship, mystery, romance, life and death drama, humor, action, and much more.
It also features Captain Peanut Butter. Although, a more nuanced, less comic book pirate than the ones in my Captain Peanut Butter comics.
It is a somewhat quirky tale. If you have read any of my fiction or humor and enjoyed it, I think you will find this story entertaining and worth your time. It is not a humor story, but there is humor in the story.
I plan to release it on Medium daily, one chapter/scene at a time, until it is complete. Then I plan to release a paperback and Kindle version.
I welcome your comments on the story.
Also, if you find an error or omission that escaped my scrutiny — or want to make helpful suggestions — I would appreciate you informing me in a private message. It is not too late to make changes before I publish the self-published version, so let me know.
I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
