Christians in America have lived relatively free from persecution for centuries. That is changing. But it should not be unexpected. Jesus told his disciples,

"...and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

We must try to love like Christ in an increasingly secular society that finds Christian beliefs offensive. It is no easy thing.

Many "Christians" could stand to be less arrogant, heartless, judgmental, and condescending also, which fuels much of the hatred.

I still believe in "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Imagine if we all did.
