Congratulations on your first post. You will soon discover that there is a lot conflicting advice about how to “succeed” on Medium. Simply because different writers have different reasons for publishing on Medium. There is no “one size fits all” advice that works for everyone.

You have to find what works for you, based on your goals. Are you writing for income or enjoyment or therapy or “because you have to.” Everyone is an individual and must approach Medium their own way.
