Day three and we were back on schedule. We stayed in Moab, Utah, and got up before the sun to visit Arches National Park. It is best to visit desert locations early to take advantage of the cool of the morning. By afternoon the temperature can reach triple digits.

Arches National Park is full of amazing rock formations, including plenty of arches. But there are also countless Dr. Suess worthy rocks. But the first stop in the park is more “Monument Valley” style scenery. This part of the park is called Park Avenue. Perhaps, because it resembles the New York City skyline.

This is one of the many rock formations you see as you drive through the park. There was a parking lot right next to it so, I decided to stop for a photo that included Lee and our go-cart.
