After a couple of days of long drives, I was looking forward to spending a full day with very little driving. We had booked two nights in Manitou Spring, Colorado. So our day was spent in the local area.

Our morning adventure schedule was a visit to Garden of the Gods Natural National Landmark for some hiking. It was only a few minutes drive from our B&B. Hurray! But before we got underway, we took time to enjoy our included breakfast. It was delicious and good fuel for our hike to come.

We got to the park a little before opening, so we paid a visit to the Visitor’s Center. Little did we know there were dinosaurs on the loose. Somehow, we survived.
