Don’t feel too bad. I posted a story back in July of 2018 that I didn’t expect to do much. It started slowly but then kept building. It currently has 8.6k views and 5.3k reads. But the bulk of them came from Google. And the numbers keep climbing. I actually did lock it when I published it. But it has only earned $103 total. So going viral outside of Medium doesn’t necessarily translate to huge income. At least my story didn’t.

I think you need to go viral inside Medium to get big bucks.
