Edmond Gets Shipwrecked
On The Island Of Phiddle
by Phineas Phiddlephaddle
Edmond Seafaran was an adventurer. He felt the call of the sea and set out to cross the Atlantic Ocean. To make his journey more adventurous, Edmond decided to make the crossing solo. One man, one ship.
For weeks, all went well. The weather was excellent, and the winds were favorable. But nature is a fickle friend, and the weather changed quickly. A huge storm hit Edmond’s ship and tossed him about like a toy boat in a bathtub. Eventually, the storm tore Edmonds ship apart, and he was thrown overboard. With nothing but broken ship boards to hold onto, Edmond feared the worst.
Then the storm stopped as quickly as it started, and the skies cleared. Edmond looked around. To his left, he saw an island. Which was odd, as there were no islands in this area on his map. Edmond didn’t mind. He might survive now, after all. He began swimming toward the island.
By the time Edmond reached the island, he was exhausted. He collapsed on the beach. Chester Lookabout had been fishing further down the beach and saw Edmond swim ashore. He ran over to the man.
“You alright, Mister?” Chester asked.
“I think so. Where am I?” Edmond asked.
