Come on, people

scroll past the shared memes and videos that people assumed everyone would want to see multiple times for several months,
breeze by the Facebook ads,
ignore the countless helpful warnings that don’t apply to you, or are just wrong,
shake off the doom and gloom forecasts,
close your eyes and heart to the daily tragic event stories,
mentally block out the endless insightful quotes,
scroll past the shared news (fake or “real”) story links,
skip over the song lyrics,
pretend you didn’t see people airing their dirty laundry in public,
block out the personal attacks on other people and groups,
unfollow half your friends and relatives,
refuse to take part in the manipulation of your emotions by posts that implore you to share them,
ignore the fact that you are being programmed to crave likes,
don’t mind that you are viewing the world through an unrealistic alternate reality,
enjoy a large daily helping of self-promotion and business promotion,
