Famous Brand Marketing Mistakes
A little tweak made all the difference for Nike
Not many people know that the original Nike motto was:
“Just do it. But not here. Do it outside.”
Fortunately, they fixed it, and a shoe empire was built.

In fact, you really should consider this free advertising. I easily get tens of readers per month. Think of the brand recognition!
I am not asking for money (I do take Venmo.) But a free pair of Air Jordans would be nice. Size 11. Or any other swag you have laying around the office. I wear size XL t-shirts.
Or perhaps you could create a line of Land Starlin sneakers (I don’t have much hang time.) “Sneakers for non-dunkers.” It could be huge!
Or we could brand them as walking shoes. I walk every day, and I think many others do also.
Let’s face it. Air Jordans are overkill for walking. One minute you are walking down the sidewalk, and the next minute you are flying through the air, like Michael Jordan doing a dunk, into a Japanese Umbrella Pine.
That wouldn’t happen with Land Starlins. Your feet would stay on the ground, as gravity intended.
Anyway, you are welcome for the free advertising.
And let me know about the Land Starlin line of walkers. You won’t regret it.
Just do it!
