I agree with Dennett's reply. Creative Humans was one of my favorite Medium publications. It spoke to the writer, musician, and doodler in me. But I also think you answered your own question when you said you try to write from the heart. Do that.

Sadly. Medium has changed a lot since fall 2019, when the change to read time payments crushed the hopes of many creative writers and they left.

To me, the community feeling is not as strong as it was in 2018 and early 2019. No doubt, because too many of my favorite writers have disappeared. At least four writers you tagged are no longer active or only sporadically appear on Medium.

Medium is still a good creative outlet and place to connect with other writers, it just seems to have lost much of its past magic. The magic that came from its creative writers and characters.
