I am hoping this new system will discourage scanning and the reciprocal clapping clubs who don’t actually read the stories they clap for. Of course, the hackers are already trying to figure out how to game the system. As hackers always do. But if this new system causes more people to actually read stories, then it is a good thing, in my opinion.
