I am sure Medium is trying to grow its readership through those big name authors and publications. If Medium’s readership grows because of the “big names” they are bringing on, then it means a larger “potential” audience for everyone. It may not work out that way. And Medium may decide it isn’t worth the expense. It is too early to tell.

Those used to being big fish in a small pond probably won’t like being small fish in a big pond that has larger fish eating much of the food, and no longer feels like the old pond. I don’t have any good answers for them. I just hope to keep growing. (metaphor overload, perhaps?)

I am with you. It has been a mostly positive experience for me.
