I didn't dare start serializing my novel before finishing it. I knew it would be my downfall. Too much pressure. So I waited until I had finished it before starting to serialize it.

Plus I was constantly tweakng and editing while I wrote the novel. I couldn't have serialized while I wrote.

I did serialize two stories on Medium while I wrote them, but they were fairly short. One of them was left hanging for a long time because the pressure I felt to finish it made me not want to write it. It's not a good strategy for me.
