In a surreal moment, I just checked my notifications and discovered that Ev Williams, CEO of Medium, clapped for one of my humor stories.
Seriously, he did:
Oddly, it was a story from August of last year. An old humor story!
Curiosity got the better of me, and I went to his profile page. I checked his Claps menu, and to my surprise, he has clapped for other humor stories in the past.
Could this possibly mean the homepage featured section embargo on “creative writing” (humor, fiction, poetry) could be eased in the future?
Or will Ev (or maybe his staff) poke around my profile page and discover the stories where I GOOD-NATUREDLY! [is that a word?] poked fun at Medium and its devotion to non-fiction, and I never get curated in the Comics section again?
