I don’t write every day. Life gets in the way. Or I just don’t feel like it. But I do capture story ideas on my phone whenever I get them. I talk them into a note app. Then I copy them to my writing app, Scrivener (the perfect writing app for an organizing geek like me.) Where I organize them as “in progress” and “ready to post.” I usually have dozens of ideas to choose from. So I can pick one that inspires me.

And since I write a lot of short humor, I have built up a stockpile of stories. I use Medium scheduling feature to schedule stories over consecutive days. It allows me to post consistently without having to write every day. And it gives me time to work on longer stories.

It works for me.
