I have a 2019 27" iMac. I think the 24" iMac is large enough for most people (Apple probably does also.) It is what I would have bought had it been an option at the time.

I think those who want a larger monitor will be turning to a Mac Mini (or Mac Studio) and a third party (realistically priced) monitor.

The pros who can write off the expensive Apple Studio Monitor may buy one, but they are certainly not priced for average Mac users.
