I love New York, for short visits. It is exciting in small doses. There is a different energy in the city. And the food! But it is too crowded and chaotic and noisy and dirty and smelly for me to live there long term. And after sweltering on the un-airconditioned subway platform for 10 minutes waiting on a train so I can ride out to Harlem to catch a bus to one of the the truly worst airport in the world, LGA, and arriving there an hour and 15 minutes later. Then sitting on the taxiway for 30 minutes, the excitement has diminished considerably. I guess I’m not a big city person.

Maybe if I was rich and had a penthouse overlooking Central Park…
