I loved this story, Kelley.

I am not sure life was simpler in past days. Most people worked long and hard for little money. And lacked many of the conveniences we enjoy. But life was locally centered and they didn't have 24/7 news and social media bombarding them with hyperbole, gloom, alarmism, ranting, fake news, and the other depressing junk we get hit with continually in a digital society.

Sadly, kindness or being nice is rare online where outrage, trolling, ranting, arguing, and anger are the predominant behavior.

We would do well to return to civillity and kindness in all areas of our life. And focusing on our local "world." Here's hoping.
