I think a huge a part of it is the “continually connected” lifestyle. “Living” online under a continual spotlight doesn’t seem healthy to me. It is a fantasy world filled with destructive things. Physical human connection is missing. Too much time online has to mess with your head.

People seem to be more easily offended and outraged now. Less civil. People are more willing to tell you how to live your life, how to think, and what to believe. Probably due to the 24-hour media we have now. Where commentary and hyperbole dominates. Plus the frequent group insanity of social media.

The political correctness “police” have largely taken over. New agendas (of the moment), same oppression, new oppressors. Like The Who said, “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

Those with less forceful personalities withdrawl rather than face continual conflict.

And don’t get me started on dogmatic politics… LOL!

Of course, this is all the observations and opinions of a 58 year old, so my worldview is different and a 28 year old’s.
