I think every "business" has its own newbie pranks. I worked for the airlines where newbies would be sent to get "prop wash." Which is actually the wind a propeller makes. Or "bin stretchers." Which is an imaginary tool used to make airplane cargo holds [called bins or bellies] stretch so they can hold more luggage.
