If you edit a title or subtitle (or first sentences if there is no subtitle) after publishing, the pre-edited title and subtitle still shows up in the feed. It’s weird. You have to go to the computer/browser version of Medium, select the edit (gear) menu and select edit story, then select “Change display title/subtitle” and make changes there. Then the corrected title or subtitle (or opening sentence) will show up in the feed.
