My brother had a boy, so the Starlin name will live on at least one more generation. Not that anyone cares.
I did discover that I share my name with a Revolutionary War Sea Captain:
“In the Continental Navy, many Black sailors served on Revolutionary gunboats. A Negro, Captain Mark Starlin of the Virginia Navy, was commander of the Patriot. Despite his battle record, Starlin was re-enslaved by his old master at the end of the war.” (Sad.)
And there is a famous Jim Starlin, no relation (that I know of), who was an artist at both Marvel and DC Comics.
