No matter where we looked, we found nothing. It seemed that we were unique in the Universe. Eventually, most people quit wondering.
Then one day, they appeared, life from another planet. They were not at all what we expected. They resembled painted stones stacked on top of each other.
Some thought it was a prank or an art project. Until one day, the tall one asked for an order of shish kabob and some marshmallows.
