Tom, obviously, I am no scientist (and not much of a story researcher.) If your spaceship had a large circular spinning section you could acheive a gravity-like effect on the outside walls of the spinning section. Like those carnival rides where the floor drops out and you stick to the wall. The 2001: A Space Odyssey example is a pretty good representation of what it would probably need to be like. Some form of giant cylinder. But I don’t think “spin gravity” would work in ships like The Millennium Falcon or many other sci-fi ships and shuttles.

And it doesn’t seem like a very likely ship design for a mission to Mars.

But if it did happen, then you could accurately participate in Lionel Ritchie’s song “Dancing On The Ceiling.”
