One way to leave constructive criticism without seeming mean publically is to use a private message. I use them to point out typos and missing words. They can also be used to make constructive criticisms. I have a few regular readers who use private messages to point out things in my writing and I appreciate it.

It is a good way to approach the matter, in my opinion. It is helpful without being publicly critical.
