I have promoted my novel on my Facebook page. But few friends and family are interested. I also promote it on Twitter. And on my Substack newsletter.

Writing is a hobby for me. I am not trying to make it a career. I realize I am not doing the countless promotional things authors are supposed to do. And if that results in less book sales, I am fine with that. At my age, my time is more valuable than a few extra book sales.

Plus, my novel is not very commercial. I knew that writing it. It is never going to be a big-seller. So buying ads doesn't make much financial sense to me. And I keep reading reports from writers who say the ads only translated into one or two additional sales.

There are currently 60, wait, 61, copies of my novel out there somewhere. That is more than I expected. But not as many as I hoped. Such is life.

So I will keep plugging away on my sequel novel. And maybe it will sell 75 copies!
