The Medium Bookmark Dilemma
Medium Writers, You’re Killing Me!

Medium writers. I have a bone to pick with you.
You are cranking out way too many good stories.
I have tried to keep up. Honestly. But my bookmark list now has mile markers on it.
I can usually manage to keep up with the 2 and 3 minute stories, but the longer ones are killing me. Especially now that I know who you are, and that you consistently write excellent, interesting stories.
Have you been eating your Wheaties or something? Because your output had definitely ramped up.
I keep adding stories to my bookmark menu knowing that they will probably languish there for days, weeks, months, an eternity!
When I see a story by a favorite writer that says “15 min read” I start to shake. NO!
I am glad they don’t put a “total time” statistic on the bookmark menu or I might just give up.
The agony of choosing between reading your great writing or working on my mediocre writing is brutal. I am torn. My soul is in conflict. An endless war rages in my heart. Oh, the humanity!
Give a guy a break and write some articles about politics so I can ignore them without feeling guilty.
Signed, your faithful follower.
