The new iPad Pros are powerhouses with very few apps that can actually use that power. Most user won't have a compelling reason to buy one. Other than "I want one."
I rarely edit video. Music production on an iPad is a silly experience with the amount of external gear you need to hook up.
I have Infinity Designer and Photo on my older 12" iPad. I thought Designer would be great for making comics. "I can draw right on the screen!" But I still prefer using Designer on my 27" iMac (with a Wacom tablet.)
And I am never going to create comics or edit photos in a coffee shop. I don't even drink coffee. LOL! So the portability "feature" doesn't really matter to me.
I now use my 12" iPad mainly to display music (pdfs) at gigs. It is great for that due to its large screen, but it was very expensive for a one trick pony. A 12 or 13" iPad is too unwieldily for normal use (holding.) I prefer my 9" iPad for reading or playing games or going online.
Apple is very good at hyping its products. I would love to have a new iPad Pro, but I am not going to pay $1100 to watch Netflix on my iPad.
Give me a reason also.
