This is great news for those of us writing microfiction and short humor and poetry.

I don't really care about Top Writer status as it was nothing more than a "participation medal" for using the same tag frequently. I once became a Top Writer in Fashion for Pete's sake! And I got Food for writing about donuts a lot. 🤣

I like frictionless reading for our profile pages, but not for publications. Look at Medium's inhouse publication with the new single column feed. You can only see one or two stories without scrolling. And no navigation. I think it is going to discourage submitting to publications.
