This type of “making it” is solely about making money. Not about writing. It is marketing your money-making ability. Selling the dream of making money to others. Yes, they put words on the screen, so it is technically “writing,” but I doubt if their writing feeds their soul. Only their pocket.

Sadly, too many writers buy into the dream of big bucks and end up in the 93% who make very little for all their effort. And end up disillusioned.
