Trick Or Treat? Or Both?

When I was a kid and came home from trick or treating with my pillowcase full of candy,

my Mom would make me dump it all out on the living room floor,

and then she checked the pile for “unsafe” candy,

which she would then take.

I’m pretty sure “unsafe” was really her code word for candy she liked.
