We all have multiple names or pseudonyms: Dad, Son, Grandpa, Doctor, Coach, Professor, Buddy, Dude.

My Dad always said he was Dutch and Czech. And that his grandfather changed his name from Stalin to Starlin when he moved to Canada. A few years back my mother-in-law was researching my family heritage and she said that my Dad’s family actually came over from England in the late 1600s and the family name was Sterling which they changed to Starlin when they move to Ohio (I forget when.) But the story my Dad always told seems to be pure fiction. Or only partial truth. Not uncommon for my Dad. LOL. He says that was what he was told.

Names change. Apparently family history does also.
