We have a hurricane headed our way around Thursday, and already the gas stations have lines, the water is gone from the grocery stores, and the home improvement stores are jammed with people buying generators and stuff. And we live 140 miles inland.

If it is was something worse than a hurricane, I doubt there is much you could do. The roads would be jammed. You couldn’t get gas. Law and order would break down. The survivalists and looters would come out. You would probably run into Mad Maxx or gangs of marauding meanies. Or worse.

Besides, my wife doesn’t like camping. So in the words of REO Speedwagon, we’ll be Riding The Storm Out.
