When I started in 2018, that was the policy: No writing about Medium for money. Of course, Medium paid far better at the time. They changed it later to allow writing about Medium in the PP. But the total lack of transparency on how they pay and the continual decline in pay is ridiculous. And it is equally ridiculous to accept it as a writer. Unless you want to write for free, then carry on. I used to love the community on here, but most of those folks have left or gone inactive. It is not much fun anymore.

Sadly, I have given up on Medium. I always said, when I make less than the membership cost, I am done. I let my membership lapse two weeks ago.

I would love to see things turn around for Medium, but I am not optimistic.
