Where else would you go? There is nothing else like Medium, with their built-in audience, that I know of. Like it or not, individual blogs and websites are basically dead as income sources and getting visitors. Social Media (and Medium is part social media) is where most people spend their time online.

If anyone is writing for money on Medium, they need to be writing nonfiction essays and confessional personal essays. That is what Medium prefers and features in their publications. I would rather make less and write what I love to write.

And by the way, I am averaging the same amount as before the PP change. And I mostly write short humor and fiction. Everyone needs to give it a month to see how much they are really making per month.
