“I’m off to work.”

Work is effort
Usually toward a goal

Unless you’re a worker bee
Bees don’t understand the concept of work
They just make honey
It’s instinctive

A job, though, is a job
Usually for money
Unless you’re hardly working
Then it’s easy money

If you are a really slow worker,
work could be your life’s work

I wrote this at work
Does that make it working class?

Related Note:

If you type in the keyword “work” on Unsplash, the top results are almost entirely people sitting at computers or in offices. You have to scroll way down before you find any kind of physical labor.

As someone who went from a grill cook as a teen to loading aircraft for 27 years, this surprised me a little. I guess I come from a different mindset. I have never had an office job. Teaching guitar is the closest I have come.

Words are interesting.
